Automatic email monitoring for agencies and freelancers
Catch broken WordPress email before your clients notice
Real test emails from every WordPress site you look after, sent through each site's own mail setup. Each one is checked for delivery, spam placement, speed and email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC). Monitor them all from one dashboard, with instant alerts when a test fails.

- Your host's mail
No SMTP passwords, API keys or WordPress logins needed.
WordPress won't tell you when email breaks
A WordPress site can look perfectly healthy while its email has quietly stopped working. Your uptime monitor stays green. The contact form still says "Thank you". But enquiries aren't arriving, and customers aren't getting their order or booking confirmations.
-
Sending stops
An SMTP password is changed or expires, or the host blocks outgoing mail. WordPress tries to send but fails, so the emails never arrive.
-
Emails land in spam
Emails are sent successfully, but spam filters catch them. Important messages end up buried in junk folders, where nobody thinks to look.
-
Routine changes break it
A hosting migration, a plugin update or a DNS change can all disrupt email sending, often without any visible error on the site.
-
The rules keep changing
Email providers such as Gmail and Microsoft 365 keep tightening their authentication rules. A site that worked last month can quietly stop.
Set up in a few minutes
-
1 Install the plugin
Install the free, lightweight MXora Email Send Check plugin on each site. Then add it to your dashboard within 4 hours to complete the connection.
Get the plugin on WordPress.org -
2 Add your sites
Enter each site's address in your dashboard. On the Agency plan, you can also import multiple sites from a CSV file. Each site connects automatically, usually within a minute.
-
3 Get alerted
Each site is tested automatically on your chosen schedule. If a test fails, you get an alert explaining the problem, and you're told when it's fixed. On the Agency plan, you can switch selected sites to a daily summary instead.
Safe to install on client sites
-
Limited access by design
The plugin only responds to requests signed by us. All it can do is connect the site to your account, then send test emails and report how they were sent. It can't change the site's settings or access its content.
-
No emails to clients or visitors
Test emails can only go to our test inbox, and the plugin won't send to any other address. Each one is short and fixed: just the site's name and address, a test ID and the time it was sent, with nothing about its customers or content.
Every step checked, from WordPress to the inbox
An SMTP plugin's log stops once WordPress hands the email over. Email Send Check has the full picture: it records how the test email was sent, including any error, then follows it to the inbox. Any problem is explained in plain English, along with how to fix it.
- Delivery
- Whether the email arrived in our inbox, or the error WordPress gave if it couldn't send.
- Sending speed
- How long WordPress took to send the email. Over 6 seconds gets a warning.
- Delivery time
- How long the email took to arrive. Anything over 5 minutes gets a warning.
- Spam
- Whether spam filters marked the email as spam. Test emails never have attachments, so one that arrives with a file a virus scanner flags fails too, as the site may be compromised.
- SPF
- Whether the sending server is allowed to send for the domain.
- DKIM
- Whether the email was signed, so receivers can tell it wasn't changed on the way.
- DMARC
- Whether the domain has a DMARC record that passes, and what its policy says to do if not.
Each result is a pass, a warning or a fail. A fail sends an alert. New warnings appear on your dashboard and in a daily summary on the Agency plan, or a weekly email on other plans.
Slow email makes customers wait
WordPress sends email while the visitor waits. If the mail server is slow, contact forms spin and checkouts hang, even though the email arrives in the end. Every test times the send, so you can spot a slow mail server before customers give up.
Built for agencies and freelancers
Add automatic email monitoring to your WordPress care plans, and give clients one more reason to stay with you.
-
Instant alerts or one daily summary
On the Agency plan, choose instant alerts for critical client sites and one daily summary for the rest. It lists every site that's failing or fixed, any new warnings, and groups sites with the same problem, such as a host outage.
-
Alerts that say what broke
Every alert names the problem and how to fix it, not just "test failed". Send alerts to email or a team Slack channel, or, on the Agency plan, to your helpdesk or other tools with a webhook.
-
Test as often as you need
Daily on the Freelancer plan, or as often as every 4 hours on the Agency plan for your most critical client sites. Run a manual test when needed, such as straight after changing a site's mail settings.
-
Manage sites in bulk
Select many sites at once to run a test, retry the connection or switch alerts on or off. On the Agency plan, you can also move them between instant alerts and the daily summary.
Protect your reputation, not just your websites
When a client's email stops working, it's your phone that rings. Catching problems first means fewer support calls, and a maintenance service your clients can depend on.
Pricing that grows with your client list
The more sites you add, the less each one costs. Try Freelancer or Agency free for 14 days, no card needed.

Common questions
Will the plugin slow the site down?
No. The plugin doesn't load anything on the site's pages. It only adds a small REST API endpoint, and its own settings screen under Tools. A test runs only when we ask for one, and sends a single short email.
Will test emails show in the site's mail log, or count towards sending limits?
Yes. Each test is an ordinary email sent through the site's own mail setup, so it appears in an SMTP plugin's email log and counts towards any sending limit. It's only a few emails: one a week on the Free plan, one a day on the Freelancer plan, and up to six a day if you choose the Agency plan's fastest 4-hour schedule, plus any manual tests you run yourself. Each one has a subject starting "[Email Send Check]", so they're easy to spot.
What's the difference between a warning and a fail?
A fail means the email didn't arrive, was marked as spam, or failed a check in a way that will stop email being delivered, such as DMARC with a reject policy. Test emails never have attachments, so one that arrives with a file a virus scanner flags fails too: something on the site is changing its outgoing emails, which can mean it's been compromised.
A warning means the email got through but something should be fixed, such as slow delivery, a missing DMARC record or a slow send. Fails send an alert, straight away or in the daily summary if you've chosen one for that site. Warnings don't, because many last for weeks or come and go. Instead, each new warning is listed once, in the daily summary on the Agency plan, or a weekly email on the Free and Freelancer plans, and shown on your dashboard and in each test report.
What does my site need to run the plugin?
A WordPress site where you can install plugins, running WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. It works with any permalink setting, including Plain. Tests reach the site through the WordPress REST API, so if a firewall or security plugin blocks our requests, you'll need to allow them. The test report tells you if this happens and what to do.
How does the free trial work?
The Freelancer and Agency plans both have a 14-day free trial with no card needed. A Freelancer trial covers 5 sites and an Agency trial covers 25 sites. We'll email you a reminder before your trial ends. If you haven't chosen a paid plan by then, you move to the Free plan: 1 site is checked weekly, any others are paused, and your sites and settings are all kept, ready for when you choose a plan. There's one free trial per account, for Freelancer or Agency.
Can I change plan or cancel?
Yes, any time from Billing > Change plan. An upgrade, to more sites or from monthly to yearly, applies straight away: the checkout page shows what you'll pay before you confirm, with credit for the unused part of your current plan.
A downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep your current plan until then. If you then have more sites than your new plan allows, the extra sites are paused, not deleted. Connected sites are kept running first, then the oldest, and you can change which are checked on the Email Checks page.
